Subject: Diploma

A note about the new TEXAS STATE diploma.  Alumni will be charged a fee after August 2004 for the new diplomas.  So best to get the order in now.

In case you did not know, you can get a new diploma with the new university name on it for free. Send a note to the e-mail address alumni@swtalumni and include :

• Your name as it appears on the old diploma
• The date of graduation
• The degree you received.

The new Diploma will have the new board chairman and president signature on it, not the one on your original diploma.  Then you can tell everyone you have a degree from two universities and be the envy of the office.

They will start processing these on September 1, so it might be a good idea to get your request in early and avoid the rush.  Let anyone else you can think of know about this.
